1. Inspect the thickness of the slitter brake pads. Replace them when severely worn.
2. Inspect the linear guides of the slitter for cleanliness and clean them as needed.
3. Verify that the drive belts of the slitter maintain proper tension.
4. Check the pneumatic lines for air leaks and ensure the air filter is clean. Clean the filter element at least once per month.
5. Inspect the surface of all external rubber-coated rollers on the slitter. Avoid contact with cutting blades to prevent surface damage. Remember to gently wipe the rollers weekly using a lint-free cloth and 1 liter of cleaning solution (typically warm water mixed with low-surface-tension soap or solvent).
6. Inspect the exhaust fan filter of the slitter. If it accumulates excessive dust that cannot be thoroughly cleaned, replace it promptly.
7. When rollers become dirty, wipe them with fine gauze soaked in industrial alcohol. However, avoid using alcohol to clean older components of the slitter to prevent rusting.
